Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID growth was recorded at a decrease of 0.7%.
According to BPS publications, with a total population of 329,980, the GRDP per capita in this region is recorded at Rp57,110,000/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 180th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the economy in this regency, the manufacturing industry is the leading sector.
The manufacturing sector ranks first. In 2023, this sector contributed the largest GRDP, reaching Rp4.88 trillion. This represents a 3.07% growth.
Next, in second place is the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, which grew by 4.01% to Rp3.93 trillion. The wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector grew by 2.53% to Rp2.53 trillion.
The final sector in the top five is mining and quarrying, with a GRDP of Rp1.62 trillion. This sector recorded negative growth of -1.17% compared to the previous year's achievement of Rp1.7 trillion.
