Food Prices in Jambi on Tuesday (November 5th): Oil and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (5/11/2024) at 11:44 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price are shallots, skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, medium-grain rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, red chilies, and red cayenne peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,100 (3.77%) to Rp30,280 per kg. Red cayenne peppers experienced the steepest price drop, falling Rp600 (1.47%) to Rp40,290 per kg.
