Food Prices in West Sumatra on Saturday (27/9): Salt Up, Red Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (27/9/2025) at 15.06 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 increased and 11 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include Minyakita, bulk cooking oil, red onion, garlic cloves, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler eggs, packaged wheat flour, fresh buffalo meat (local), large red chili, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt prices surged the highest by Rp294 (1.93%) to Rp15,556 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices dropped the deepest by Rp5,000 (10.0%) to Rp45,000 per kg.
