Sumatera Selatan Food Prices Thursday (30/5): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (30/5/2024) at 16.38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, mackerel fish, granulated sugar, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,610 (5.37%) to Rp51,190 per kg. Shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,620 (3.23%) to Rp48,520 per kg.
