Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Cooking Oil Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (14/8/2024) at 11:55 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, curly red chilies, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up by Rp120 (2.45%) to Rp5,020 per kg. The largest price decrease was for iodized fine salt, down by Rp620 (5.53%) to Rp10,600 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on August 14, 2024, at 11:55 WIB.
