Latest Food Prices in East Java: Onion Prices Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (6/9/2025) at 08:41 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities saw price increases and 13 commodities saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include large red chili, corn at farmer level, red onion, red bird''s eye chili, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, milkfish, pure beef, medium rice, and garlic bulbs decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Corn at farmer level saw the highest jump of Rp911 (15.21%) to Rp6,900 per kg. Milkfish prices experienced the sharpest decline of Rp3,308 (10.19%) to Rp29,167 per kg.

Here is the complete list of prices for 23 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on September 6, 2025 at 08:41 AM WIB.

5. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,571 per kg (down 2.61%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,375 per kg (down 0.05%)
7. Garlic Bulbs: Rp29,333 per kg (down 1.67%)
8. Milkfish: Rp29,167 per kg (down 10.19%)
9. Large Red Chili: Rp27,667 per kg (up 0.52%)
10. Broiler Eggs: Rp26,778 per kg (up 2.71%)
11. Red Bird''s Eye Chili: Rp25,667 per kg (up 0.82%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,833 per liter (down 5.57%)
13. Minyakita: Rp17,278 per liter (up 4.19%)
