Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Red Chili Prices Up, Salt Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (7/11/2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 saw price increases and 12 saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, medium rice, skipjack tuna, milkfish, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumer salt, consumer sugar, dried soybean seeds (imported), red onions, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest jump of Rp484 (0.9%) to Rp54,045 per kg. Consumer salt prices, on the other hand, fell the deepest by Rp149 (1.36%) to Rp10,813 per kg.
