Today's Food Prices (04/3) in East Java: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Red Chili Falls

Some food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (March 4, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include medium rice, red bird's eye chili, broiler chicken meat, bulk granulated sugar, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as premium rice, large red chili, curly red chili, and beef rump decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices rose the most by Rp1,978 (2.37%) to Rp85,491 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp145 (0.52%) to Rp27,697 per kg.
