Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Cayenne Pepper Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (August 26, 2025) at 13.38 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include consumption salt, bulk wheat flour, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, SPHP rice, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Bulk wheat flour saw the highest jump of Rp106 (1.22%) to Rp8,775 per kg. Meanwhile, skipjack tuna price saw the deepest drop of Rp182 (0.65%) to Rp27,707 per kg.
