South Sumatra Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Egg Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (7/12/2024) at 12:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, shallots, pure beef, curly red chilies, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, chicken eggs, milkfish, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp240 (0.88%) to Rp27,600 per kg. Chicken eggs experienced the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp170 (0.64%) to Rp26,330 per kg.
