Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Up, Shallot Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (29/4/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, tongkol fish, dry soybean (import), red chilies, and kembung fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase of Rp4,760 (11.79%), reaching Rp45,120 per kg. Shallots, on the other hand, saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,280 (2.29%), reaching Rp54,640 per kg.

8. Kembung Fish: Rp32,340 per kg (up 0.31%)
9. Tongkol Fish: Rp32,030 per kg (up 1.39%)
