Latest Food Prices in Riau Region: Onions Up, Chilies Down (Thursday, December 14, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Riau today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (14/12/2023) at 19.14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, garlic bulb, shallots, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as corn (farmer level), simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp710 (2.06%) to Rp35,130 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies experienced the lowest decrease of Rp5,430 (6.94%) to Rp72,830 per kg.
