Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (30/11/2024) at 09.49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, chicken eggs, pure beef, garlic bulbs, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies surged the highest by Rp2,380 (9.92%) to Rp26,370 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp240 (4.18%) to Rp5,500 per kg.

9. Curly Red Chili: Rp26,370 per kg (up 9.92%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,370 per kg (up 0.76%)
