Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Decreases in Oil and Chicken Prices

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (4/8/2024) at 14:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), mackerel, premium rice, pure beef, and dry soybean seeds (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, shallots, broiler chicken meat, milkfish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp220 (0.6%) to Rp36,800 per kg. Meanwhile, skipjack tuna prices decreased the most by Rp480 (1.54%) to Rp30,780 per kg.
