Indonesia Food Prices Week of February 23rd: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (23/02/2025) at 09:58 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, farmer-level corn, Indian mackerel, shallots, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, Minyakita (branded cooking oil), pure beef, dry soybean (import), and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up Rp1,929 (2.74%) to Rp72,443 per kg. Large red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp1,969 (3.9%) to Rp48,476 per kg.
