Latest Food Prices in Indonesia: Oil, Sugar, and Red Chili Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (August 7, 2025) at 09.17 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 22 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are mackerel, pure beef, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, red cayenne pepper, broiler eggs, milkfish, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna commodity had the highest increase of Rp331 (0.96%) to Rp34,986 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices had the deepest decrease of Rp5,236 (9.84%) to Rp47,982 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chili: Rp42,723 per kg (down 2.8%)
7. Mackerel: Rp41,576 per kg (up 0.14%)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp41,258 per kg (down 6.5%)
9. Garlic Bulb: Rp36,824 per kg (down 4.02%)
