Indonesia Food Prices Week of August 11th: Chili Prices Rise, Oil Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Sunday (11/8/2024) at 2:51 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased in price and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, pure beef, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybeans (import), bulk cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna increased the most by Rp480 (1.56%) to Rp31,160 per kg. The price of dry soybeans (import) decreased the most by Rp20 (0.17%) to Rp11,950 per kg.
