Current Food Prices in Banten: Chili Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (24/02/2025) at 16.50 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), packaged cooking oil, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, granulated salt, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp4,625 (8.75%) to Rp57,500 per kg. Mackerel experienced the largest price decrease of Rp839 (2.02%) to Rp40,611 per kg.
