Food Prices Today in Central Java: Onion and Salt Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) at 12:12 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 increased and 15 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include red bird''s eye chili, pure beef, consumption sugar, large red chili, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, milkfish, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest price increase of Rp4,737 (10.44%) to Rp50,130 per kg. Meanwhile, skipjack tuna prices dropped the most by Rp696 (2.17%) to Rp31,429 per kg.
