Current Food Prices in West Java: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (27/12/2024) at 09.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, medium-grain rice, premium rice, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, red chilies, garlic bulbs, broiler chicken, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase, up by Rp3,950 (10.87%) to Rp40,290 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn saw the sharpest decrease, down by Rp420 (7.0%) to Rp5,580 per kg.
