The daily price of low-quality rice in traditional markets in West Papua Province has decreased by 0.75% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in traditional markets in West Papua Province is recorded at Rp13,250. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the last month, the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in traditional markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp13,350.

Meanwhile, the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in traditional markets in West Papua over the last three months has decreased by 23.19%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in traditional markets in West Papua Province was traded at Rp17,250.

The record high for the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2018 with a 30% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2024 with a -22.38% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Papua show 12 commodities decreased and 14 increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are: Low-Quality Grade II Rice, Medium-Quality Grade I Rice, Green Chili, Chicken Eggs, Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Curly Red Chili, Small Red Chili, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Chicken Meat, Red Small Chili, and Fresh Chicken Eggs.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in West Papua Province:
