Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Rice, Sugar, and Onion Prices Drop

The price of several food commodities in Central Java today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (25/11/2024) at 16.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are farmer-level corn, iodized fine salt, milkfish, medium rice, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as layer chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp130 (1.17%) to Rp11,200 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili experienced the sharpest price drop, decreasing by Rp1,560 (5.63%) to Rp26,170 per kg.
