Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Chili Up, Oil Down (Wednesday, February 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 09.30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, red chilies, premium rice, dry soybean (import), and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, red onions, tongkol fish, and kembung fish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp2,730 (4.37%) to Rp65,240 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most by Rp670 (1.96%) to Rp33,500 per kg.

8. Milkfish: Rp33,500 per kg (down 1.96%)
9. Tongkol Fish: Rp32,720 per kg (down 1.24%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,580 per kg (up 1.3%)
