Latest Indonesian Regional Food Prices: What's the Price of Fish?

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (9/8/2024) at 14:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, mackerel fish, farmer-level corn, simple packaged cooking oil, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, milkfish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp560 (1.24%) to Rp45,540 per kg. The price of red chili peppers experienced the sharpest decrease, falling Rp310 (0.45%) to Rp68,670 per kg.
