Today's Food Prices (Jan 23) in Central Java: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Eggs Decline

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (Jan 23, 2026) at 4:16 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 1 commodity decreased.

Commodities with price increases were Minyakita, large red chili, bulk granulated sugar, shallots, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, only broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili rose the highest by Rp1,945 (4.7%) to Rp43,352 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler egg prices fell the sharpest by Rp112 (0.41%) to Rp27,444 per kg.

6. Large Red Chili: Rp30,521 per kg (up 3.9%)
7. Broiler Eggs: Rp27,444 per kg (down 0.41%)
8. Curly Red Chili: Rp27,037 per kg (up 0.41%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,093 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,741 per liter (up 0.13%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,863 per kg (up 0.11%)
12. Minyakita: Rp16,400 per liter (up 0.07%)
