The daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Maluku Province has increased by 30.49% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Maluku Province is recorded at Rp47,500. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly, there has been no change in price over the past week.

However, compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp36,400.

Meanwhile, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Maluku over the past three months has decreased by 15.56%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Maluku Province was traded at Rp56,250.

The record high for the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2024 with an increase of 46.875%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2020 with a decrease of -14.65%.

The PIHPS monitoring shows that the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Maluku recorded seven commodities decreasing and five others increasing. Basic commodities with decreased prices are Super I Quality Rice, Medium-Sized Garlic, Inferior Quality II Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Curly Red Chili, Quality 2 Beef, and Fresh Broiler Chicken.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in Maluku Province:

6. Premium Quality Granulated Sugar per Kg Rp18,500 per kg (unchanged)
7. Medium II Quality Rice per Kg Rp17,200 per kg (unchanged)
8. Inferior Quality II Rice per Kg Rp16,700 per kg (down 2.05%)
9. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per Kg Rp20,750 per kg (up 4.01%)
10. Medium-Sized Shallots per Kg Rp65,900 per kg (up 21.14%)
11. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per Kg Rp20,850 per kg (down 22.35%)
