Red Onion Prices (Medium Size) Highest in These 10 Provinces (Friday, March 31, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of medium-sized shallots (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 52,640 per kg as of Friday, March 31, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 51,870 per kg.

The daily price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets in DKI Jakarta was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 76,250 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-sized shallots in this province is higher, previously recorded at Rp 48,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi, the price of medium-sized shallots was sold at Rp 73,450 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium-sized shallots in Banten was Rp 68,250 per kg, North Maluku Rp 66,700 per kg, and Central Sulawesi Rp 62,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 17 provinces with sales prices of medium-sized shallots below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices of medium-sized shallots are West Sulawesi, Riau Islands, and Jambi.
