East Java Food Prices, Sunday (20/10): Salt Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (20/10/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken meat, shallots, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, mackerel, chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp150 (1.6%) to Rp9,550 per kg. Mackerel experienced the largest price decrease of Rp850 (2.55%) to Rp32,430 per kg.
