Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Corn Up, Fish Down (Monday, December 25, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday, December 25, 2023, at 13:53 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, livestock-grade corn, granulated sugar, whole garlic cloves, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, milkfish, medium-grain rice, fine iodized salt, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-grade corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp350 (5.21%) to Rp7,070 per kg. Skipjack tuna saw the largest price decrease, falling by Rp2,400 (6.95%) to Rp32,110 per kg.
