Today's Food Prices in Banten on March 13: Red Chili Peppers Rise, Onions Fall

Several food commodity prices in Banten today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 13, 2026) at 15:46 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 increased and 4 decreased.

The commodities that saw price increases are bulk palm cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, red bird's eye chili, large red chili, and bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as shallots, Honan garlic, medium rice, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp583 (1.28%) to Rp46,000 per kg. Meanwhile, Honan garlic price had the deepest decrease of Rp334 (0.98%) to Rp33,583 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,792 per kg (up 0.22%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp33,583 per kg (down 0.98%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp30,458 per kg (unchanged)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,500 per liter (unchanged)
