Food Prices Today (09/1) in East Java: Onion Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (9/1/2026) at 17:02 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 7 commodities decreased.

The only commodity with an increased price was bulk palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Honan garlic, broiler eggs, red cayenne pepper, curly red chili, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk palm cooking oil commodity surged the highest by Rp23 (0.13%) to Rp18,350 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper dropped the most by Rp2,424 (6.24%) to Rp36,402 per kg.

7. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,136 per kg (down 0.48%)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp24,970 per kg (down 0.18%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,394 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,350 per liter (up 0.13%)
