Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onions Up, Rice Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (10/11/2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 13 commodities saw an increase and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include garlic bulbs, mackerel, broiler chicken meat, SPHP rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, corn at farmer level, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest increase of Rp11,383 (39.78%) to Rp40,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of premium rice saw the sharpest decrease of Rp15,400 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
