Indonesia Food Prices Week of May 26th: What's the Price of Beef?

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (26/5/2024) at 13:37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, red chilies, and dry soybeans (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, farmer-level corn, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp620 (1.41%) to Rp44,510 per kg. Farmer-level corn prices decreased the most by Rp40 (0.71%) to Rp5,620 per kg.
