Today's Food Prices (05/3) in Indonesia: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Red Chili Falls

Several food commodity prices in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 5, 2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 9 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include bulk palm cooking oil, premium rice, medium rice, red bird's eye chili, and premium packaged palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as wheat flour, beef rump, chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili price jumped the highest by Rp905 (1.21%) to Rp75,913 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili price dropped the sharpest by Rp3,200 (7.74%) to Rp38,168 per kg.

5. Curly Red Chili: Rp38,170 per kg (down 0.31%)
6. Large Red Chili: Rp38,168 per kg (down 7.74%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,416 per kg (down 0.1%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp30,958 per kg (down 0.12%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,100 per liter (up 0.1%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,209 per liter (up 0.04%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,885 per kg (up 0.06%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,903 per liter (down 0.03%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp15,329 per kg (up 0.05%)
