Beef Prices of Grade 1 Quality in West Sumatra Increased by 14.3% in One Week

The price of grade 1 beef in West Sumatra reached Rp 151,900 per kg on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area showed the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of grade 1 beef in West Sumatra increased by 14.3% within a week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, the price of grade 1 beef in this region has increased by 14.3%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. Furthermore, compared to prices over the past year, the current selling price of grade 1 beef in West Sumatra's modern markets is the highest on record.

For the period of January-February 2022, the price of grade 1 beef in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 14.3% compared to the previous month.

The price of grade 1 beef reached its lowest point at Rp 127,900 per kg on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 151,900 per kg.

Nationally, the price of grade 1 beef began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of grade 1 beef in modern markets was Rp 170,770 per kg, a 1.73% increase compared to the end of last week.
