Latest Central Java Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, broiler chicken meat, farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp450 (2.2%) to Rp20,950 per kg. Garlic bulbs experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp930 (2.44%) to Rp37,190 per kg.
