Today's Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (August 9th, 2024) at 12:20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, shallot, bulk cooking oil, medium rice, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, broiler chicken, chicken eggs, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp1,170 (3.5%) to Rp34,560 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply, by Rp480 (4.11%) to Rp11,210 per kg.
