Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Up, Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have risen compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (July 29, 2025) at 11:09 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 16 commodities saw an increase and 7 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, packaged cooking oil, premium rice, red onion, and garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red cayenne pepper, medium rice, large red chili, packaged wheat flour, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dried soybean (imported) saw the highest jump of Rp226 (2.29%) to Rp10,113 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper prices dropped the most by Rp2,164 (6.01%) to Rp33,845 per kg.

9. Large Red Chili: Rp30,436 per kg (down 1.72%)
10. Curly Red Chili: Rp28,978 per kg (up 0.6%)
