Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Sugar, Onion, and Rice Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (22/10/2024) at 08.50 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, mackerel fish, whole garlic cloves, and fine iodized salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, milkfish, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) commodity saw the highest increase of Rp680 (6.29%) to Rp11,490 per kg. Red onion prices decreased the most, dropping Rp2,170 (7.71%) to Rp25,960 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,520 per kg (down 2.74%)
6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,320 per kg (down 4.69%)
7. Milkfish: Rp29,960 per kg (down 6.4%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,330 per kg (down 0.23%)
9. Red Onions: Rp25,960 per kg (down 7.71%)
10. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp23,960 per kg (down 7.56%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,330 per kg (down 0.23%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (down 4.76%)
