Central Java Food Prices Wednesday (August 7th): Beef and Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (7/8/2024) at 11:55 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), curly red chilies, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, tongkol fish, milkfish, shallots, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level surged the highest by Rp100 (2.09%) to Rp4,880 per kg. The price of red chili peppers decreased the most by Rp1,650 (2.49%) to Rp64,570 per kg.
