Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Expenditures in Jember Regency Increased by 1.14% in April

Household electricity and fuel expenditure in Jember Regency last April reached 1.14%. This figure is higher than the previous month, which was recorded at -0.05%. Among the 11 inflation groups measured in this region, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group contributed 0.67% to inflation in Jember Regency.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for housing, water, electricity, and household fuel in Jember Regency was at 101.87 in April 2024, higher than the previous month's 100.72.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation for housing, water, electricity, and household fuel has decreased by 2.6% (year on year/yoy). Meanwhile, compared to the beginning of the year, expenditure in Jember Regency has grown by 0.59% (year to date/ytd).

This inflation sub-group experienced the second-highest increase compared to other inflation-contributing sub-groups.

The following is the inflation of the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel sub-group measured by BPS for April in Jember Regency:

Compared to 60 other regencies/cities, the highest inflation for housing, water, electricity, and household fuel occurred in Banda Aceh City, down 0.31% with a CPI of 101.23, and the lowest occurred in Indonesia at 0.02% with a CPI of 101.34. Jember Regency ranked first.

Overall inflation (general) in April 2024 at the national level was 0.3%, down from the previous month (month to month/m-to-m). Compared to the beginning of the year, national general inflation reached 1.15% (ytd), and compared to April 2023, inflation decreased by 7.27% (yoy).
