Banten Region Food Prices Thursday (August 15th): Salt Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (15/8/2024) at 09.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp500 (6.72%) to Rp7,940 per kg. Shallots saw the largest price decrease of Rp4,300 (16.39%) to Rp21,940 per kg.
