Food Prices Today in Indonesia: Sugar Up, Red Chili Down

The prices of several food ingredients in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (21/10/2025) at 09.13 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 22 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were skipjack tuna, mackerel, and consumption sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as medium rice, Minyakita cooking oil, pure beef, broiler eggs, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel saw the highest jump of Rp733 (1.75%) to Rp42,729 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the most by Rp3,572 (7.32%) to Rp45,197 per kg.

8. Shallots: Rp39.135 per kg (down 0.11%)
9. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37.727 per kg (down 0.91%)
10. Garlic Bulbs: Rp36.931 per kg (down 0.19%)
11. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34.841 per kg (up 0.32%)
