Current Indonesian Food Prices: Prices of Sugar, Chicken Meat, and Eggs Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (28/4/2024) at 16.51 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 18 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price are red chilies and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,020 (2.31%) to Rp45,230 per kg. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp230 (1.97%) to Rp11,440 per kg.
