Today's Food Prices (March 10) in Central Java: Red Chili Rises, Eggs Fall

Some food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (March 10, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases are curly red chili, shallots, premium rice, bulk palm cooking oil, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as imported soybeans, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, red cayenne pepper, and beef rump decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili had the highest increase of Rp573 (1.66%) to Rp35,178 per kg. Chicken eggs had the deepest decrease of Rp96 (0.33%) to Rp29,162 per kg.

3. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp39,596 per kg (down 0.03%)
4. Shallots: Rp39,343 per kg (up 0.06%)
5. Large Red Chili: Rp35,178 per kg (up 1.66%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp34,086 per kg (up 0.32%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,230 per kg (up 0.21%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,162 per kg (down 0.33%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,794 per liter (up 0.09%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,173 per liter (up 0.42%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,989 per kg (stable)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,674 per liter (stable)
