West Sumatra Food Prices on Monday (December 16th): Beef, Chili, and Cooking Oil Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (16/12/2024) at 11:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, garlic bulbs, pure beef, fine iodized salt, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp3,850 (10.65%), reaching Rp40,000 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp5,170 (11.42%), reaching Rp40,090 per kg.
