West Java Food Prices Thursday (Sep 18, 2025): Red Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (September 18, 2025) at 12:48 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler chicken eggs, dry soybean seeds (imported), consumption salt, medium rice, and red bird''s eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, consumption sugar, SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp2,723 (5.49%) to Rp52,364 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices dropped the deepest by Rp827 (2.24%) to Rp36,131 per kg.

5. Red Bird''s Eye Chili: Rp41,753 per kg (up 1.35%)
6. Mackerel: Rp41,623 per kg (up 0.23%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp40,432 per kg (up 1.37%)
8. Milkfish: Rp37,316 per kg (down 0.68%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp36,618 per kg (down 0.51%)
10. Shallots: Rp36,131 per kg (down 2.24%)
11. Garlic Bulbs: Rp34,824 per kg (down 0.82%)
