Latest East Java Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (22/4/2025) at 14.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, Minyakita (branded cooking oil), packaged wheat flour, premium rice, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), chicken eggs, red chili, curly red chili, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp851 (2.52%) to Rp34,649 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices fell the most sharply by Rp4,126 (7.2%) to Rp53,173 per kg.

7. Mackerel: Rp34,649 per kg (up 2.52%)
8. Milkfish: Rp32,930 per kg (up 1.1%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,808 per kg (up 1.18%)
10. Chicken Meat: Rp30,806 per kg (up 1.83%)
11. Chicken Eggs: Rp24,857 per kg (down 0.07%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,839 per liter (up 0.31%)
