Clothing and Footwear Prices in Surakarta City Decreased by 0.36% in February

Clothing component prices contributing to inflation in Surakarta City in February decreased by 0.36%. This figure remained stable for the past two months. Among the six inflation groups measured in this area, the clothing and footwear group contributed -0.3% to the regional inflation.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for clothing and footwear in Surakarta City was at 102.47 in February 2024, lower than the previous month's figure of 102.84.

Compared to the same month last year, clothing and footwear inflation decreased by 8.04% (year on year/yoy). Compared to the beginning of the year, prices of components contributing to inflation in Surakarta City experienced a growth of -0.36% (year to date/ytd).

Based on BPS survey data for February 2024, these 11 inflation groups ranked sixth compared to other subgroups.
