Today's Food Price Update in Central Java: Beef and Oil Prices Drop (Saturday, April 13, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (13/4/2024) at 08.19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, Indian mackerel, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, broiler chicken, garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, up Rp3,950 (12.21%) to Rp36,310 per kg. The price of shallots saw the lowest decrease, down Rp4,630 (10.37%) to Rp40,020 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas as of April 13, 2024, at 08.19 WIB.

6. Garlic Bulb: Rp37,130 per kg (down 4.67%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp36,310 per kg (up 12.21%)
8. Indian Mackerel: Rp35,740 per kg (up 9.56%)
9. Milkfish: Rp34,090 per kg (up 2.19%)
10. Chicken Egg: Rp28,370 per kg (down 2.04%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,480 per liter (up 2.28%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,290 per kg (down 0.58%)
